EnergyX pages now cited in AI answers

Across ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, AI Mode, Perplexity, Gemini and Copilot.

In one line: EnergyX now ranks in Google’s top results for the company searches investors and partners use (“lithium extraction companies”, “lithium brine extraction companies”, “lithium mining companies”, “lithium refining companies”), owns the #1 result for “direct lithium extraction”, “lithium extraction”, “lithium extraction from brine” and “lithium extraction company”, and is cited by ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, AI Mode, Perplexity, Gemini and Copilot. The next phase points that visibility at investor-intent searches.

Google rankings

The homepage now ranks in the top results for “company” searches

These are the searches investors, partners and journalists use to find lithium companies. A year ago EnergyX was on page one for only two of them. Now it is in the top 7 for all seven, and in the top 3 for four.

How to read it: each line is one search. The grey dot is where EnergyX ranked this time last year, the green dot is now. Anything right of the “10” line is on page one of Google.

Most of these searches sent zero clicks to the site a year ago. All seven now drive traffic.

New content

EnergyX owns the #1 result for the terms that define what it does

Three of the new long-form articles are now the first result on Google for the core category searches, and the homepage is now the first result for “lithium extraction company”. These are also the pages AI assistants draw on when they explain direct lithium extraction.

The work behind it

Seven things that moved the numbers

  • Technical fixes

Resolved 404 and HTTP internal links, removed pages with placeholder text, and submitted the sitemap to Search Console. It had never been submitted before.

  • Homepage repositioning

Rewrote the homepage content and updated title tags and H1s around the company-level searches shown above.

  • Internal linking

Homepage, footer, logo alt text and contextual links updated so authority flows to the pages that matter.

  • AI search content

Four new long-form articles: DLE, lithium extraction from brine, where lithium comes from, and lithium extraction methods. Three already rank #1.

  • Content pruning

Removed low-value pages to concentrate authority on the pages that matter.

  • Website redesign support

Reviewed both rounds of the design migration so the new site launched without losing SEO value.

  • AI search tracking

Prompt research completed, tracking set up, and a full AI Search Audit delivered this week.

Target term

Positioning EnergyX as a critical minerals company

“Critical minerals company” is the search investors use when they are thinking about the category rather than lithium specifically. It is a bigger pool of investors than “lithium extraction”, and it is the language of US policy and supply-chain funding. Here is what we have recommended to own it.

“critical minerals company”and “critical minerals companies to invest in”

Winning this term means Google and AI assistants describe EnergyX as a critical minerals company first and a lithium company second. That takes three things working together: a page that explains the category, a page that targets investors, and consistent entity signals that put EnergyX in the category.

Every recommendation on the right is already with the EnergyX team or in the content plan. None of it needs new research, it needs publishing.

What we have recommended

  • “What are critical minerals?” article

The category-defining piece. Explains what counts as a critical mineral, why lithium is on the list and where DLE sits, then links to the invest page. This is the page we want cited when AI tools are asked about critical minerals.

    In content plan
  • Invest page recommendations

The page we want ranking for investor searches, including the critical minerals angle. Content recommendations have been delivered.

    With EnergyX
  • “Critical minerals companies to invest in” article

Part of the investor-focused content in Priority 2. Targets the search directly and links through to the invest page.

    Priority 2
  • About page and schema updates

Define EnergyX as an entity in the critical minerals category for Google and AI assistants, so the description is consistent wherever it appears.

Entity authority

Teague’s Wikipedia page is live, and it has stuck

Four previous attempts to get a Teague Egan article onto Wikipedia were taken down. The fifth has been published, reviewed and left in place. That matters more than it sounds.

Wikipedia editors remove pages that read like promotion or lean on weak sources. This version was built the way Wikipedia wants it: neutral, factual and backed by independent press coverage of Teague and EnergyX. It now lists 17 references and covers EnergyX’s DLE technology and its projects in Chile, Texas, Arkansas and Utah.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Teague_Egan →

Why this matters for SEO and AI search

  • AI assistants trust it. Wikipedia is one of the most heavily cited sources in ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews. A stable page is the strongest signal that Teague and EnergyX are real, notable entities.
  • It feeds Google’s Knowledge Panel. Wikipedia is a primary input to the panel that appears when someone searches “Teague Egan” or “EnergyX”, which is exactly what investors do before a raise.
  • It anchors the brand and investor searches in Priority 3. When AI tools describe EnergyX, GET-Lit and its founder, they now have a verified source to draw from, so the facts come out right.
  • It compounds with what comes next. Every YouTube video, LinkedIn post and press mention now connects back to a recognised entity rather than an unknown name.

From the AI Search Audit

Six recommendations to become the lead source AI tools cite

The audit looked at the prompts investors and the industry ask AI tools, who gets cited today, and the gaps EnergyX can fill. These are the actions it recommends, in priority order.

  1. Highest priorityCreate an “Is Direct Lithium Extraction Commercially Viable?” evidence page

One evidence-led page that answers the question directly, using EnergyX’s own project data, is the most direct route to becoming the lead source.

Why: rff.org earns 4 AI citations for this prompt with a single report built on breakeven costs. energyx.com is already cited twice and its blog ranks #8, so the domain is trusted on the topic.
  2. Quick winStrengthen the /projects page

It is already cited because it states capacities and locations. Add a dated status line to each project (pilot, demonstration, construction, commercial), a short milestone timeline and an “Updated October 2026” stamp, then link each project to the evidence page.

Why: AI needs stage information to answer feasibility questions.
  3. High priorityFix how third parties describe the technology

EnergyX ranks #1 for “lithium extraction companies” and is named in three AI-cited round-ups. The problem is description, not visibility: third-party pages call the technology “MemX” or “LITAS”, and none use GET-Lit™.

Why: AI repeats what these sources say, so consistency across third-party listings matters.
  4. ContentPublish a “DLE technologies explained” guide

A comparison of the DLE approaches on the market, so EnergyX is the source that explains the category, not just a company within it.

  5. Content, legal review neededCreate a “How to Invest in Direct Lithium Extraction” guide

Fills a gap no cited source covers and keeps to EnergyX’s content scope. Must be reviewed by EnergyX’s legal team before publishing, because EnergyX is testing the waters under Regulation A and cannot solicit investment.

  6. Off-siteEarn commentary in lithium market coverage

The sources AI cites are finance publishers covering lithium price moves: Yahoo Finance, Benzinga, INN. Reactive expert commentary from EnergyX leadership on lithium supply and DLE news is a realistic way in, even while EnergyX is private.

Citations

Alongside on-site content, the fastest route to more AI citations is being featured accurately on the third-party pages AI already cites. The audit lists which pages, and what each should say about EnergyX and GET-Lit™.

What’s next

Capture investor-intent search before the February raise

The focus now shifts to people actively looking to invest in lithium, DLE and critical minerals companies, and people researching EnergyX as an investment. That is the audience that matters most over the next four months.

  1. Priority 1Get the invest page recommendations live

The content recommendations are with the EnergyX team. This is the page we want ranking for investment searches, so getting it live comes first.

  2. Priority 2New investor-focused content

Articles targeting searches such as “investing in lithium extraction companies”, “direct lithium extraction investment” and “critical minerals companies to invest in”. Each links through to the invest page.

  3. Priority 3Brand and investor research searches

Make sure EnergyX shows up well when investors search the company name with “investment”, “stock” or “IPO”, in Google and in AI answers. Includes checking that ChatGPT and other AI tools describe EnergyX and GET-Lit accurately.

  4. Needs the EnergyX teamRecommendations already delivered

The about page, schema, internal links round 2 and the cannibalisation fixes all help the invest page and brand searches perform. Getting these live in the next few weeks would compound everything above.

How we start 2027

Put Teague on camera and take the lead in YouTube and AI search

YouTube is the biggest open opportunity in AI search right now, and EnergyX has something most lithium companies do not: a founder who is strong on camera. In January we combine the two. Teague fronts short, search-optimised videos that answer the exact questions investors and the industry are typing into YouTube, Google and AI assistants.

Why nowIt looks like SEO in the 2010s

There is a gap between what people search on YouTube and the videos that actually answer them. Most lithium and DLE queries return nothing built for the question.

Why nowExact-match titles win

A video titled with the search itself, such as “What is direct lithium extraction?”, can rank with almost no competition. These are easy wins while they last.

Why nowLow effort ranks

Because competition is close to zero, a well-titled five-minute video from Teague can outrank far bigger channels. That will not stay true for long.

Our prediction for the next 18 months

  1. Brands that move fast on YouTube will get a very high return on the time and effort invested.
  2. That lets EnergyX cheaply test YouTube search as an acquisition channel and gather real data on traffic and business impact.
  3. Over the next 18 months the easy-win window closes.
  4. YouTube fills up with low-effort, exact-match content.
  5. That still leaves room for brands producing higher-effort exact-match content, with a credible face on camera.
  6. Brands that moved early will have the data to allocate search budgets far more efficiently than those starting from zero.

How each video works four times over

  1. 1Rank the video

Exact-match title, description and chapters so the video itself ranks on YouTube and in Google’s video results.

  2. 2Embed it on the site

Each video sits on the matching EnergyX article or the invest page, adding time on page and a video result for the page.

  3. 3Cut it into Shorts

Every long video becomes several Shorts, Reels and LinkedIn clips for social, with no extra filming.

  4. 4Double up on LinkedIn

The script becomes a LinkedIn Pulse article under Teague’s name, so the same answer appears wherever investors look.

AI assistants already cite YouTube transcripts. A video from the founder explaining DLE becomes another source they quote, alongside the articles and the Wikipedia page.

TL;DR

Start testing low-weight, search-optimised YouTube content now, with Teague as the face of it. We are already running this for other Mostro clients, so EnergyX starts with a playbook rather than an experiment.

LinkedIn

Make Teague’s LinkedIn a second search engine for EnergyX

LinkedIn is where EnergyX’s investors already are, and LinkedIn profiles, posts and articles rank in Google and get quoted by AI assistants. Nothing here needs new material: it reuses what the website and the YouTube videos already produce.

Repurpose the site Turn the articles into Pulse articles and posts

The long-form articles that already rank #1 become LinkedIn Pulse articles and short posts under Teague’s name, each linking back to the EnergyX page.

  • One Pulse article per ranking page, rewritten in Teague’s voice
  • Key stats and definitions cut into standalone posts
  • Investor-focused content from Priority 2 published here first
Repurpose the video Every YouTube video becomes a week of LinkedIn content

The Shorts cut from each video run as native LinkedIn video, with the script becoming a post and the long version embedded in a Pulse article.

  • Native clips, since LinkedIn favours video it hosts itself
  • Script turned into a text post with the same exact-match title
  • Full video embedded in the matching Pulse article
Rank the profile Get Teague’s profile ranking for our target keywords

LinkedIn profiles rank in Google for commercial searches, and AI tools read them when describing a founder. We optimise the profile to carry the same keywords as the homepage.

  • Headline and About rewritten around “lithium extraction company” and “direct lithium extraction”
  • Experience and Featured sections pointing to the invest page and key articles
  • Consistent description of EnergyX and GET-Lit across profile, Wikipedia and site
Why it matters

Searches for “Teague Egan” and “EnergyX” spike before a raise. With the Wikipedia page, an optimised LinkedIn profile and the website all ranking, EnergyX controls the first page of results investors see, and AI assistants have three consistent sources to draw from.
